Tao Hemberg Jankel

Tao was born in the U.S.A. but has grown up in Västra Götaland, Sweden, in different regions. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. During his studies he did an exchange semester in Tokyo, Japan. After arriving back in Sweden after the exchange, Tao felt he wanted to engage more internationally and later became the President of the International Committee at the university. It was due to his previous experiences that his interest for Business Sweden’s Trainee Program felt like a clear match. When Tao is not at work, he’s either at the gym, on an exploration hike with friends or browsing Spotify for unheard songs. His first placement is in Sydney, and in February he moves to Moscow.

Из России с любовью, or as we say in English, From Russia with Love!

Hello again dear reader, my friend, current colleague and/or future colleague. Since it took me so long to write my third post, I thought it would be reasonable to make my fourth post quicker than usual. Between February 5th and 9th me and the rest of the current trainees were sent back to the Business Sweden Headquarters in order to get some further training and in order for us to discuss various learnings from our different markets. A lot of interesting new information, tips and tricks were introduced and repeated to us and during one of the days we even …

Tomorrow (Monday morning February 5th) I will meet the rest of the Trainees of the Business Sweden Accelerator Program. I am really, really, looking forward to seeing everyone again and hearing about their experiences from all corners of the world. It’s been a while since I last wrote a post. We have been busy at the Sydney office helping Swedish companies succeed in Australia. So what …

Hello again, dear reader, my friend, current colleague and/or future colleague. It’s time for me to provide you with a recap of what’s been going on these past seven weeks. If you click the blue “The Walk to Work”-link below you can follow my daily walk to work. It was recorded on a Sunday, otherwise a stop at RICKARDO’S Coffee Shop would have been a must. Below the link is a picture of a happy guy in an elevator. The Walk to Work I feel that time is currently moving at a swift speed. I’m involved in many different types of projects at the same …

The city of sunshine, delicious food and mixed cultures

Hello there dear reader; my friend, current colleague and/or future colleague. Welcome to yet another Trainee Blog. My name is Tao and I am currently practicing the first part of my Trainee Program at the Business Sweden office in Australia. The office, which is situated in Sydney, is responsible for the markets of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. When making my way by plane to Sydney, I asked to pass by Tokyo in order to visit an old friend, and hence the amazing picture of Mount Fuji in the far distance, from when I departed for Sydney from …
